Un intrigo a Blandings - P.G. Wodehouse

Divertente commedia degli equivoci inglese, facente parte del ciclo del Castello di Blandings creato dal prolifico e famosissimo scrittore P. G. Wodehouse. Il titolo originale, Galahad a Blandings , rivela qualcosa di più della trama: Galahad è il fratello del Lord di Blandings, uomo di buon cuore molto portato a risolvere i problemi altrui e dedito ad una vita di dissolutezze.

I romanzi di Wodehouse sono rilassanti e divertentissime chicche satiriche che dileggiano bonariamente lo stile di vita britannico.

Anna si fa trascinare dagli eventi anche – o soprattutto – quando decide di prendere il mano il suo destino, Cassandra è un’improbabile caricatura e Jamie un giovane nobile interessato solo a pecore e alla ricostruzione del castello che rifugge il sesso a causa di una serie di traumatiche esperienze al college…da evitare tranquillamente, non si perde nulla.

Una curiosità: il titolo originale – Bad Heir Day – is translated into an extravagant I saw a toad.

The group of werewolves, all local ethnic Indians, to protect the site from vampires, I was fascinated. Fans of Edward lynch me, but I hope you change your mind and Bella fall in love with Jacob.
